The book gives an introduction to self assembly, classical crystallisation, colloidal crystals and mesocrystals. It described the concept of mesocrystals and their properties, and examples of mesocrystal systems are given. This is followed by an exploration of the mechanism of mesocrystal formation and the tuning of their properties.
