The quiet town of Newent with its surrounding villages in the north-west of Gloucestershire has many similarities to nearby rural Herefordshire. This beautiful area has fine half-timbered buildings and the town boasts a good array of Georgian and Victorian buildings which, together with the fine timbered Market House, result in Newent remaining the epitome of an unspoilt English market town.
