"Time Passes" is a new book of 28 Haiku poems by Blair Mathews with Zen Ink illustrations by calligrapher Kimmy Tran. Blair has written three other books of poetry: "Whispers" also with Zen Ink illustrations by Kimmy Tran, "Remembering" with illustrations by Truman Lowe, and "Seasoned" (with poet Donna Carnes), illustrated by Laura Bouffiou Jacobson, Steve Landfried, and Kent Mathews. Mathews revels in finding connections and oppositions in the natural world. A teacher of tai chi chuan, Blair is fascinated by the concepts of yin and yang: the interdependence of seemingly opposite forces.
