In the city of Mumbai (old Bombay), the business capital of India and one of the most dynamic cities in the world, there are six million people who inhabit informal settlements and generate fifty per cent of the total wealth. Trough the book "Mumbai recycled, re-envisioning the Slum", we introduce an array of perspectives and reflections upon the growing phenomenon of the unplanned city, and search for alternative solutions in the practice of traditional urbanism.
